You’d have seen this video yesterday:

In one day or so, the video has garnered well over 664k views and 11k shares.

We wonder if something must have happened prior to this that caused this lady, who speaks like a Sovereign, to behave in such a manner.

Well, it turns out that something did happen off camera.

2nd ‘Sovereign’ Also Remanded in IMH; Had Apparently Made Racist Remarks As Well

Yesterday, the Singapore Police Force posted an update on their Facebook Page, telling us that they’ve arrested the “second Sovereign” and she’d be charged today (9 May 2020).

Today, more details on what happened were revealed.

The 40-year-old woman, Kasturi Govindasamy Retnamsamy, was charged today for using criminal force to a police officer by struggling and resisting arrest, and for using abusive words on a police officer and three other people.

The incident happened on Thursday (7 May 2020) at Sun Plaza, which is a mall that’s next to Sembawang MRT Station.

Prior to this offence, she has been fined $300 for not wearing a mask on 29 April 2020 at the same place.

You’d have known what happened during the 7 May confrontation from the video, so here’s what happened after that.

The police came and when they asked for her identity, she took out her NRIC card and began peeling off the address sticker on her card.

Whenever someone changes his or her address, a sticker with a new address will be used to cover the old address.

She also said, “Scan the IC, b****” to a woman, though it’s unknown whether it’s to a police officer or someone else.

And here’s the shocker: she, for some reason, said this to a woman: “COVID-19 is because of you Chinese.”

When a police officer tried to subdue her, she reportedly resisted and struggled.

She’s now remanded at the Institute of Mental Health for psychiatric observation and will return to court on 22 May 2020.

For her offence on using criminal force on a public servant (i.e. the police officer), she could be jailed for up to four years or fined, and for cursing at a public servant, she could be jailed up to a year or fined up to $5,000, or both.

And for using abusive language on others, she could be jailed for up to six months or fined up to $5,000, or both.

And finally, for breaking the Circuit Breaker rules, she technically could be jailed up to six months or fined up to $10,000.

So yes, if she really hates COVID-19 so much, she could just serve all the maximum sentences and chances are, when she’s out, the pandemic would be over.
