Why? Because it means no rice, no noodles, no carbs etc. It’s basically saying goodbye to everything that’s good in this world.

There are many different diets that the very imaginative hoomans have come up with, with some being relatively harmless like the ever-popular keto diet and intermittent fasting.

But there are also other crazier diets that exist out there in the world. Today, we are going to talk about the crazy diets.

Person A: Hey, let’s spend like 7 days eating only sweet potato to lose weight!

Person B: A, that sounds like a swell idea, why didn’t I think of that myself?

5 Crazy Diets Celebrities Have Gone On To Keep In Shape

Let me start by telling you about the most mind boggling diet I have ever come across.

1. Korean Idol, IU

Korean Idols are called idols and not stars because they have to be perfect. Which translates to slim af in Korea.

IU is a very popular Korean Idol who has a diet plan called the “IU diet”. The IU diet is also very popular among her fans and even those who do not follow her.

Many people have filmed themselves trying her diet, which she does to slim down before she makes a comeback (perform again after a break).

So without further ado, here it is:

Breakfast: 1 Apple

Lunch: 1 Sweet Potato, although some sources claim it’s 2.

Dinner: Protein Shake

And that’s it folks. A lot of people have claimed that they have lost a couple of kilograms in a matter of days. (Duh, because this diet creates a severe caloric deficit).

This is bad because dropping your weight so drastically can actually be very traumatic for your skin.

Further, a YouTuber called Helen Moon who tried this diet, revealed that she gained all the weight back two days after the diet because what she lost was water weight and not fats.

Also, is she a relative of Sailor Moon?

2. Korean Idol Wendy From Red Velvet

Red Velvet’s Wendy is another celebrity idol with a diet that’s frankly quite disturbing.

Breakfast: Half a cup of rice.

Lunch: Half an apple.

3. Beyoncé

Beyoncé is well known for finishing a Master Cleanse, also widely known as the Lemonade Diet. During this period, no solid food is eaten for at least 10 DAYS.

So wait, how does one not collapse and die on this diet? Simple. You can only drink cayenne lemon water to not die.

4. The Baby Food Diet

Have you ever looked at Baby Food and thought, hey I want to eat that? Me neither.

But a few celebrities have been rumoured to have jumped on the baby food bandwagon. These include celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow and even Lady Gaga.

Breakfast + Lunch: 14 jars of baby food

Dinner: Normal adult food

The diet involves replacing breakfast and lunch with around 14 jars of baby food, which are around 25-75 calories each, before having a ‘normal’ dinner.

Victoria Beckham is a diehard fan of the alkaline diet, wherein all meals are targeted at keeping your body’s pH between 7.35 and 7.45.

Alkaline friendly food often comprises of 80% vegetables and considerably less grains and proteins.

But to know your body’s pH level, you have to do a urine test. Translation: Diet meant for rich people with personal chefs and $1000 in their wallets.
