Christmas is approaching fast and if you’re still looking for a place to celebrate Christmas, look no further because we have compiled a list of places and events that you and your loved ones can head to celebrate the festive season.

It’s always difficult to find a good place to celebrate Christmas because there are so many pretty places to choose from but so crowded at the same time.

1. Christmas Wonderland, Gardens By The Bay

It is the fourth year that the Christmas Wonderland is taking place in Singapore, and this year, they return once again with a spectacular feature of fixtures and light sculptures that are bound to make any Christmas special.

You can also watch the inaugural parade which features three floats with Santa, Santarinas, dancing elves, penguins and snowmen!

You’ll also have a fun time playing their carnival games.

2. Poinsettia Wishes, Gardens By The Bay

If you can’t travel overseas this year to experience a true White Christmas, don’t be too upset about it.

Head down to Gardens By The Bay’s Flower Dome and you’ll still be able to enjoy yourselves a Nordic Christmas as you marvel at the sights of all the five different Nordic countries. Journey through the iconic landmarks of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden and take in the beautiful scenery of poinsettia plants.

It’s said that there are over 30 different kinds of poinsettia plants to look at!

The temperature in the Flower Dome is also considered to be quite cooling which is a stark contrast to what you would usually experience here in tropical Singapore. Thus, the cold atmosphere will help you feel as if you’re really in those Nordic countries!

3. Island Lights, Sentosa

Not sure where to go but still want an interesting experience? Head down to Sentosa Island because they’ve set up a whole bunch of Instagram-worthy art fixtures for you to take photos so that you can update your Instagram.

There’s a 13.5-metre-long space for you to walk through and as you make your way towards the end of it, you’ll find yourself surrounded by illuminated fixtures that are of different vibrant colours.

Get ready to immerse yourself in a multi-sensory experience when you go for their LedsControl’s ShadowDial.

4. Christmas on a Great Street, Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza

Looking for more than just taking photos with your special someone? Head down to the Christmas on a Great Street which is located conveniently at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza.

Pop-up stores have been set up there as well, with Singtel, Irvin’s Salted Egg, and Chomel, allowing you the experience of shopping before ending the day with taking some aesthetic photos.

There’s a 4-metre-long immersive tunnel that you can walk through and take photos along the way.

If you’re tired of taking photos, you can also opt to play the carnival games that are available. Hop on a horse and ride the merry-go-round, or get into a carriage and take photos as you enjoy the carnival music.

5. Nineteen80, Raffles Place

More of a clubbing kind of person? Looking to bust out some moves as you down some booze with your loved one?

Fret not because Nineteen80 is having an event that is starting at 9pm on Christmas Eve, 24 December.

6. There’s No Place Like Home

Instead of heading out and celebrating Christmas like everyone else, why not make it a little special and celebrate it at home with your loved ones instead?

That way, you won’t have to worry about the insane crowds that are bound to be everywhere. Plus, there might even be traffic jams as you try to make your way back home after the event.

It would be fun to get your very own little Christmas tree and decorate it together by hanging ornaments and putting fairy lights on it. Super heartwarming and even romantic!
