Because today, we’ve 66 new COVID-19 cases, and 30 of them are unlinked.

66 New COVID-19 Cases in S’pore Today (6 Apr); 2 New Clusters Including a Pre-School

Out of 66 cases in Singapore today, only 1 is imported.

Of the 65 local cases, 30 of them are still unlinked.

For the remaining 35 cases, 24 of them were linked to clusters at foreign worker dormitories.

A new cluster in a dormitory, which currently only comprises previously confirmed cases, is found: the Kranji Lodge cluster has 3 cases now.

In addition, a new cluster is formed at Little Gems Preschool, which is located an Ang Mo Kio St 62. A newly confirmed case is linked to 2 previously confirmed cases.

There is also one patient who works in the public healthcare sector: she’s a 27-year-old Singaporean who works as a patient therapy associate at the Institute of Mental Health.

Updates on Confirmed Cases

All in all, we now have 1,375 cases in Singapore

344  have fully recovered and are discharged, while 25 are in ICU. 6 patients have passed away due to complications from COVID-19.

The conditions of the remaining patients are improving or stable, and in this group, 454 of them who are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19 are isolated and cared for at Concord International Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital and the Community Isolation Facility at D’Resort NTUC.

As of noon today, MOH has identified 17,613 close contacts who have been quarantined. Of these, 5,618 are currently quarantined, and 11,995 have completed their quarantine.
