Singaporeans love nothing more than ordering things online and getting them delivered to their doorstep.

Whether it’s a clothing item from Shopee, a late-night McDonald’s meal, or the latest tech gadgets, Singaporeans have embraced the convenience of ordering things from our touchscreens.

This is even proven according to statistics by database company Statista. With the online food delivery market in Singapore projected to reach US$1.5 billion this year, it’s clear that this trend is here to stay.

It’s worth noting that the craze for online delivery was sparked because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The demand for online deliveries continued to grow when most food & beverage (F&B) establishments didn’t allow dine-in customers, and online delivery was the only viable option for those craving food from outside establishments.

Well, more good news for fellow Singaporeans: You can now get your groceries delivered to your doorstep within an hour on foodpanda.

Familiar?

Familiar.

foodpanda Now Delivers Items from Cold Storage & Giant, Just like honestbee

The online food delivery app is taking a step further and giving us the added convenience of grocery delivery services in exclusive partnership with yuu Rewards Club and DFI Retail Group, which currently operates a network of 100 Cold Storage, CS Fresh and Giant outlets across the island.

This is especially a game-changer for those who despise grocery runs and would rather avoid a crowded supermarket on weekends.

With the new feature on foodpanda, you can now shop close to 20,000 grocery items combined from Cold Storage, CS Fresh and Giant island-wide, with the same prices as in-store, eliminating worries about hidden costs.

The best part? Your groceries are set to arrive within an hour, making it perfect for folks who rush to make dinner but may have forgotten an ingredient or two to whip up a meal.

Remember the days when you used to buy your groceries through honestbee?

This service is the equivalent of honestbee, allowing you to order fresh groceries online without waiting two hours or a day for them to be delivered to your doorstep.

New Feature Added Based on Demand

The new feature was added based on a survey that foodpanda and DFI had conducted to look into the habits of local grocery shoppers in Singapore.

The results revealed that 95% of respondents spent almost a full working day each month grocery shopping, with common issues being forgotten items and duplicates.

Therefore, this new service aims to cater to these time-starved Singaporeans, offering essential household and grocery items, including premium produce, meats, organic products, and even bulky items.

Another finding from the survey was that 81% of respondents walked or took public transport home after grocery shopping, an aspect they dreaded the most.

That’s so relatable.

With foodpanda’s new addition, heavy bags of groceries are a thing of the past, thanks to doorstep delivery within an hour.

While some may hesitate to buy groceries online due to concerns about freshness, foodpanda assures customers that their pickers are meticulous in selecting products, ensuring the same care and consideration as if they were shopping for themselves.

For added convenience, users can also pre-order their groceries and select a delivery date and time that suits their schedules. It is great if you are on a working or school schedule and are only available at a particular time.

With the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), the app even recommends products based on past purchases, enhancing the overall grocery shopping experience. This personalised approach aims to align with users’ interests, making their experience more seamless and efficient.

“Customers can now easily shop from a breadth of grocery choices conveniently available at their fingertips through foodpanda shops, complementing our existing pandamart stores, which will continue to grant round-the-clock, super-fast deliveries for curated household necessities,” said Laurence Wen, CEO of foodpanda Singapore, in a statement.

Customers can also earn yuu points on foodpanda transactions made across over 20,000 restaurants and merchants in Singapore, which may be used to offset future purchases or redeem Rewards on yuu partner brands such as foodpanda, Cold Storage, CS Fresh, Giant, Guardian Health & Beauty, 7-Eleven and BreadTalk.

Now, let’s just say that Pandamart is so yesterday.
