If you like watching mukbangs on TikTok or YouTube, the name “Chick-fil-A” isn’t something new.

Like every other fast food in the US, their burgers and fries seem to always look better than the fast food we have in Singapore.

The crunch, the cheese, the sauce…

Of course, Goody Feed has got your back. We have great news for US fast food lovers here.

Chick-fil-A is having a pop-up in Singapore in June, and we’ve got all the juicy details.

Chick-fil-A Opening a Limited Time Pop-Up in Singapore

On Friday (31 May), it’s revealed in a press release that the beloved American family-owned restaurant company, Chick-fil-A, will open temporarily in Singapore.

It will be their first time in Asia.

What will be sold at the limited-time pop-up?

Chick-fil-A said that Singaporeans can now try their signature Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, iconic potato waffle-cut fries, and a soft drink (or bottled water for y’all healthy peeps).

In case you didn’t know, the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich is highly raved about because it’s so simple, yet so good.

According to them, the recipe for the chicken sandwich has been the same for 60 years. It is made with real, whole, boneless chicken breast that is perfectly seasoned, toasted buttery bun and two dill pickle slices.

They’re expecting such a high demand that they require you to make a reservation in their pop-up to get it.

Pop-Up Details: Reservation Needed

Now, the thing you’re salivating to know.

The pop-up will only be around for three days.

Where: #01-13C, The Esplanade Mall (8 Raffles Avenue, Singapore 039802)

When: 26 to 28 June 2024

The pop-up will be open to the public for two sessions

Time:

  • 11 am to 2 pm;
  • 3 pm to 7 pm

In order to reserve a seat, you need to pre-register early.

So far, there’s no link to the pre-registration yet, but we were told that it will start on 3 June 2024, and more details will be shared via their official Instagram page @chickenandsmiles.

Looks like they know how kiasu we can be. No excuses to reserve last minute.

Chick-fil-A to Donate Proceeds From Pop-Up

Instead of paying for your meal, Chick-fil-A said that they will be asking guests of the pop-up to donate $10 to Community Chest, the philanthropy and engagement arm of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS).

All of the donations will go towards bettering the lives of people with disabilities, children with special needs, youths-at-risk, families in need of assistance, people with mental health conditions and seniors in need.

The donation will be made through a link that will be available when you pre-register for the pop-up.

The donations gathered through this pop-up will be matched every dollar by Chick-fil-A (Asia) Pte Ltd, which is the affiliated company of Chick-fil-A, Inc.

That’s nice. The meal will surely taste better knowing that what you pay is going to a good cause – supporting our very own community.

Singapore has been a hub for big international food chains to tap into the Asian market.

We had In-N-Out’s pop-up that happened on 31 May this year, Five Guys and Shake Shack in 2019, and of course, Wingstop in 2013.

In the case of Chick-fil-A, avid foodies had their spidey senses tingling back in March and suspected that they might open in Singapore soon.

How?

Chick-fil-A posted some job ads in Singapore, and someone saw their iconic branded white and red cups at Funan Mall. You can read more about the Chick-fil-A rumours here.

It’s good to know that the rumours are indeed true. Let’s hope they open up a restaurant permanently soon.
