If you’re a 90s kid, you’d know Jacky Wu.

What you might not know is that he has a daughter, also a television personality, who owns a cafe.

Apparently, Jacky Wu’s eldest daughter Sandy Wu had her café in Taipei vandalized by two men in March 2024. The café, called AMBI-CAFÉ, is located on Dunhua South Road in Taipei.

The vandalism was carried out by two men who apparently dislike Jacky Wu’s hosting style.

Here’s what happened.

Jacky Wu’s Daughter’s Cafe Vandalized By People Who Didn’t Like Jacky Wu’s Hosting Style

In March 2024, two men dressed in black barged into the basement-level AMBI-CAFÉ during business hours and vandalized the premises.

The two perpetrators, 21-year-old Peng Wende and 22-year-old Huang Shengye, were arrested shortly after the incident, and initially claimed they targeted the café because they had a grievance with Jacky Wu, and thought he owned the business.

However, Peng and Huang later admitted the real reason was that they were “dissatisfied” and “enraged” by Jacky Wu’s television hosting style. They said they were drinking when they saw Jacky hosting a show on TV, which prompted them to go vandalize the café.

On 18 June 2024, the Taipei District Prosecutors Office charged Peng and Huang for the crimes of property damage and public intimidation.

When asked to comment on the men being charged, Jacky Wu cryptically replied, “You should have expected this when you are in triads” and questioned if Taiwanese society was as simple as it appears on the surface.

Sandy Wu, the 33-year-old eldest daughter of Taiwanese entertainment icon Jacky Wu, has followed in her father’s footsteps to become a television host.

She co-hosts the popular variety program Super Entourage with her father, which has become her flagship show

Of course, in addition to her television career, Sandy is an entrepreneur, owning and operating AMBI-CAFÉ in Taipei’s East District.
