When I grow up, I’m going to tell my grandchildren that back in 2020, I’ve been through a war by doing this:

And during that time, enemies were people who somehow refused to obey the basic rules of not sitting on a seat in public, or hanging out with friends in public.

Reader Bao: But you’re a grownup now

I know, but after watching this video, I feel like I’m a kid, as some of us have suddenly acted like children who repeatedly wanted that Iron Man toy in Toys“R”Us

Police Handcuffed Man Who Claims to “Just Sit Down on the Chair”

…another video has surfaced that showed how Circuit Breaker could mess with the wiring in people’s head.

A video of a man confronting two police officers made its round on Facebook, and you’d be glad that you’ve served NS in the army or SCDF once you’ve watched it:

Here’s the conversation between the man, whom I should name Mr Kiddo, and the police officers:

Mr Kiddo: Open fire! Before I touch you ah, you better open fire.

Police Officer 1: Okay, come (proceeds to handcuff Mr Kiddo)

Mr Kiddo: Don’t touch me. Don’t touch me lah! I just sit down on the chair!

Police Officer 1: Turn around, turn around! Comply! Turn around! (handcuffs Mr Kiddo)

Mr Kiddo: Why you handcuff me? Oei, my hand pain lah

Police Officer 1: I’ve already given you a third warning, okay. This is more than the fourth time for you to *inaudible*

Mr Kiddo: I never touch you anything!

Police Officer 1: Since you refuse to obey to our *inaudible*

Mr Kiddo: No, I was *inaudible*

Camerawoman: Good lah

Mr Kiddo: Why you people do like that? I never disturb anybody! I can see *inaudible*

Police Officer 2: Come, come, your drink. (towards camerawoman) Nevermind, we’ll settle from here

Camerawoman: Okay

Poor officers; they can’t do their safe distancing.

Drunk Man?

From the way the man spoke, it seems like he could be drunk.

Nevertheless, that doesn’t give him the excuse to “sit on the chair” because the world is now so different.

And if this happens, even alcohol might be banned.

Wait, what?

More Measures Might Be Implemented If People Don’t Follow The Rules

Since the Circuit Breaker started 58 days ago—

Reader Bao: Bro, it’s only 5 days

Oh, right.

Since the Circuit Breaker started 5 days ago, people have been breaking the rules—just yesterday (10 April 2020), a whopping 2,900 warnings (which means names are taken down) have been issued and 40 fines were imposed. On 20 occasions, police officers had to be brought in as people weren’t cooperative.

I ended up doing this:

According to Minister Lawrence Wong, the face of the fight against COVID-19 in Singapore, there might be possible tighter measures if we don’t cooperate.

For example, open-air stadiums were initially open for people to exercise, but Ah Hock and Ah Lian gathered together after exercising and all stadiums are now closed.

Masks were initially optional in wet markets without crowd management measures since we all should know how to keep a safe distance ourselves, but Ah Hock and Ah Lian squeezed into the market daily and now, all markets would have crowd control measures (limit of how many people in the market) and from tomorrow onwards, masks are compulsory.

In other words, what Minister Wong said wasn’t just a threat; if we continue to drink at void deck, got drunk and got handcuffed by police officers in black masks, I won’t be surprised that alcohol would be banned.

You won’t want that, right?

Then don’t be an Ah Hock or Ah Lian.
