4 March was a day when we didn’t expect the world would change so much.

And today, we achieved what we did since 4 March, whereby we only have 2 cases; as of 12 pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 4 new cases of COVID-19 infection.

This brings the total number of cases to 57,880.

There is, however, 1 community case today.

There are 2 imported cases, and they’ve all been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

Based on yesterday’s numbers, on average, the number of new cases in the community has decreased from an average of 2 cases per day in the week before, to an average of 1 per day in the past week.

The number of unlinked cases in the community has also decreased from an average of 1 case per day in the week before, to none in the past week.

57,705 People Have Been Discharged

There are currently 44 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and 1 is in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

100 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.

27 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
