Today is the first day we can dine in groups of five but it looks like we have to be more aware of safe distancing as the cases rose again.

As of 12pm today (12 Jul), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 26 new cases of COVID-19 infection.

8 of them are community infections, with 3 unlinked. The remaining 18 are imported cases.

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 62,718.

Based on yesterday’s number, the number of new cases in the community has decreased from 26 cases in the week before to 17 cases in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has increased from 2 cases in the week before to 9 cases in the past week.

The 7-day moving average number of all linked community cases and all unlinked community cases are 1.1 and 1.3 respectively.

77 Cases in Hospitals; 6,237,197 COVID-19 Vaccine Doses Administered

77 cases are currently warded in hospital. Most are well and under observation. There are currently 6 cases of serious illness requiring oxygen supplementation, and 2 in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU).

There are currently 20 active clusters, ranging between 3 and 94 infections. MOH has been monitoring existing clusters for any further transmission. As there have been no more cases linked to the Case 64183 and MARINA ARIEL clusters for the past two incubation periods (i.e. 28 days), the clusters have now been closed.

As of 10 July 2021, we have administered a total of 6,237,197 doses of COVID-19 vaccines under the national vaccination programme. The total number of doses administered was 6,237,197, covering 3,942,515 individuals. 2,294,682 individuals have received their second dose and completed the full vaccination regimen.
