Whenever you think of drugs, you’ll think of a bunch of addicts snorting white powder on a table. Rarely, would you picture a bunch of children running around them.

Well, unfortunately in real life, this is how things actually go down, and poor innocent children were often dragged into the mix.

3 Young Children Found in Locations Where Illegal Drug Activities Took Place

During various Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB)-conducted drug busts around the island, three very young children were found in locations, or at least very close to said locations, where suspected illegal drug activities took place.

They were rescued by CNB officers and have been subsequently placed in the safe custody of their next-of-kin.

Among them is a 10-month-old baby, who was crying inconsolably.

One of the officers on the scene that way immediately knew what she needed.

He said, “As a father to two daughters, I instinctively knew that the baby needed to drink milk when I saw her crying.”

“It saddens me to see such innocent victims being brought up in such an environment. This is the reason why CNB officers are motivated to give our best in our work,” he added.

Echoing the sentiment of many netizens in the comments,  another netizen commented, “Sad to read about the plight if the infants and children. Thanks to the officers who found them out. Fortunately, they have been rescued and placed with NOK who will hopefully see to their needs.

“Its going to be a long battle to stamp out narcotic activities in our country but the efforts to do it are indeed commendable. Good job CNB. Keep doing what you’re doing for the greater good of society.”

Some netizen also applauded the CNB officer who made milk for the baby, with one saying, “He deserves award for his dedication and empathy. Empathy while doing his duty. U can find 1000 ppl with dedication but not much on EQ. This guy has it.”
