Debris was scattered across the road.

The police said that three male car drivers, aged between 42 and 48, a 64-year-old male van driver, and two 11-year-old boys—one a car passenger and the other a mini bus passenger—were taken to the hospital conscious.

Additionally, a 42-year-old female car driver and a 39-year-old male van passenger sought hospital treatment independently. The police are investigating with the assistance of the 42-year-old male car driver.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to a report of an individual pinned under a car wheel. They employed hydraulic rescue tools for extraction.

SCDF also noted that a nurse and two off-duty SCDF officers assisted at the scene and will be recognized for their efforts.

Due to the increase in fatal traffic accident, red-light cameras in Singapore have since been also used as speed camera to deter speeding since 1 April 2024.
