Fans: Ticketing! Information! Now!

Well, fans will have to wait a while as ticketing details will only be announced at a later date.

This tour celebrates Chou’s more than 20 years of achievement in the music industry. He had released his debut album Jay in 2000.

His upcoming show is organised by G.H.Y Culture & Media.

Its spokesman said, “We are very excited about Jay Chou’s return to the Singapore stage where fans can enjoy his world-class performance, in-person again after over two years.

“We look forward to reuniting fans with a phenomenal live concert experience and celebrating Jay Chou’s music together.”

For the upcoming event, concert-goers can expect a “visually energising representation” of his songs.

Other stops in the tour after Singapore include Kuala Lumpur and Sydney.

Increased Capacity at Concerts

Since 29 March, the capacity limit for mask-on events of more than 1,000 people has been increased to 75 per cent.

In pre-COVID-19-times, the National Stadium could seat up to 55,000 people.

To do the math for you, that means a capacity of 41,250 with the existing measures. But who knows, maybe that might increase by the end of the year?

Mr Lionel Yeo, chief executive officer of the Singapore Sports Hub, said, “Singapore Sports Hub has welcomed many international artistes over the years and we are pleased to be playing host to Jay Chou and his fans again as more live mega concerts return to Singapore’s iconic National Stadium.”

Last Singapore Concert was in 2020

Chou last performed at the same venue for the same tour in January 2020, shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down large-scale live entertainment.

At that show, he performed songs from his 2001 album, Fantasy, as well as numerous other tracks such as Half-beast Human, Chapter Seven and Simple Love.

The 2020 concert had tickets from $198 to S$368.

Stay tuned for more information on his upcoming concert here.
