Buying products online can be dangerous, especially for electrical products that may not meet safety requirements.

Case in point: a massage gun bought from Lazada that caught fire after charging.

Massage Gun Caught Fire, Burnt Surrounding Items

The buyer posted about her experience on the Facebook group Complaint Singapore.

Basically, she bought a red massage gun from the online shopping platform Lazada, and was probably hoping to get a good massage session out of it.

However, when she charged the product, it suddenly caught fire and burnt the surrounding area. In the pictures below, you can see black scorch marks on her table, shelf and wood floor.

Thankfully, she put the fire out quickly, or the fire could have spread to other areas of the house.

Lazada Review Allegedly Taken Down, Asked for Refund

The buyer claimed that her review was taken down, with the screenshot stating that the review had expired.

Additionally, when she brought the matter up to Lazada, they redirected her to ask for a refund from the seller. She noted that the seller did process the refund, but didn’t compensate for any damages she incurred.

Netizens React: Don’t Buy Electronics Online?

Many netizens seemed to also have the same experience with buying electronics online, and advised that if one does buy them online, buy it at your own risk.
