Listen, no one likes getting honked at. Especially when you’ve stopped at the side of the road along the PIE towards Tuas just to read a text from your crush.

Reader: That seems oddly specific

But there’s a rational way to react to this. Mentally give them the finger, curse them under your breath, and move on with your day.

Road rage, much like a PMD on a footpath, is useless, and will never get you anywhere. Despite this, some motorists flip people off, curse at them, or even start arguments.

This guy, however, was a little calmer. He reacted to getting honked by smashing a taxi’s side mirror with his helmet.

Motorcyclist Smashed Taxi’s Side Mirrors with His Helmet After Being Honked At

A video of a raging motorcyclist verbally abusing a cabbie and smashing his side mirror is making the rounds on social media.

Footage of the incident was shared on the Facebook page ROADS.sg.

The video appears to have been filmed by a couple of passengers in the car, one of whom was holding a baby.

At the start of the video, the cabbie could be heard asking his passengers to take a video of the motorcyclist.

A second later, the biker slams his fist on the cabbie’s window with a loud thud, while cursing at him.

He circles the cab like a shark, continuing to fling every expletive known to humankind at the taxi driver, who doesn’t retaliate.

The constant punching and kicking of the cab understandably worried the passengers, as they had a baby with them.

At the 33-second mark, they reported the incident on the phone, presumably to the police.

“There’s someone very aggressive with my taxi driver”, the passenger said.

Speaking on the phone, the passenger said the motorcyclist had just smashed the cab’s car window and urged officers to come quickly as he had a baby with him.

Another video uploaded to Facebook provided a bird’s eye view of the incident, showing how the belligerent biker smashed the cab’s side mirror with his helmet.

The side mirror broke off and shattered into several pieces.

Driver Honked “Lightly” Because Biker Was Moving Slowly

According to the ROADS.sg post, the biker honked “lightly” because the rider was moving slowly.

Angered, the rider then followed the cab into the carpark and start berating the taxi driver.

The incident reportedly occurred at a car park at 804B Keat Hong Close. Fortunately, the police seem to have arrived in time.

Road rage never ends well. Try rolling your eyes and shaking your head instead. No one gets hurt that way.
