Fan interactions can be all fun and games, with each celebrity having different levels of control over “how much” they want to share, but there comes a point where it breaches the boundary of TMI.

Regardless of how long or short your down-under are, they are called private parts for a reason.

Alas, the Taiwan-based Malaysian actor Hero Tai has zero qualms about showing off the size of his package.

Please insert a facepalm emoji here.

The Size of His Worth

In response to a fan’s question on whether “His 18cm is real?”, the 35-year-old actor decided to take an Instagram story in front of his mirror, with a lady casually lifting his shirt and cupping his manhood over his grey sweatpants to insinuate its large size.

Then, in a text underscored with red, he replies: “If it was fake, would it make you happier? ?”

Thanks for the image, now where is the eye bleach…

Mixed Responses from Fans

Perhaps some fans—especially the one who bothered to ask—might have squealed at the obvious protrusion, getting aroused even, Hero Tai received his fair share of criticism for his stunt.

In an Instagram story the following day, he first stated that because of Q&A reply last night, he received a lot of lovely messages from his fans, as well as a lot of criticism.

I’m sure they were lovely… Or thirsty.

Tai continues to write that he originally wanted to use a more humorous method to “answer truthfully” to the questions that his fans and friends have been sending him, but he didn’t expect that the photo would cause such a huge impact on his societal image, which was mostly inclined towards the negative.

For causing such a stir, he solemnly apologises to everyone and adds three bowing emojis at the end.

Then, he clarified that the mysterious hand belonged to a friend, and it was part of a punishment for a game that they were playing.

“It has been difficult for all the media accounts and friends, we apologise to you once more,” Tai writes, before adding a kowtow sticker at the bottom, which has the word “reflection” printed on the back of the shirt.

For the media accounts in question, their biggest conundrum was probably finding euphemisms and more PG-13 synonyms for his nether regions.

Unexpected Pride from Father

Given how fast the news travels online these days, the ripples of his actions quickly reached Malaysia, to the extent where it even made the headlines of the news.

Much to Hero Tai’s surprise though, he gained an unexpected supporter amidst the controversy.

After his father caught wind of his suggestive stunt, he had apparently called him the same night, first asking how he had been doing recently.

From the number of ellipses scattered in the sentence, it was obvious that Tai was waiting for the usual Asian parent scolding about “wanting face”, and he initially thought that his father was definitely going to reprimand him…

But at the end, his father only said, “There’s no way around it… If other people feel inferior, what can you do about it…”

That’s right, there was only helplessness and acceptance, no scoldings about being a disgrace.

Lastly, to really emphasise on how much he was preening with pride, besides the bitmoji of himself lying on a floater on a pool, he adds the hashtag: “Dad must be feeling very proud of his genetics”.

Again, on things we do not need to know.

Besides the physical inheritance, it’s clear that the father and son pair share a similar personality as well.

In the poll placed at the bottom, Tai asks: “Does everyone love my dad?”

91% voted that they loved him to death, whilst the remaining 9% were hesitant or probably confused.

Add me to the latter statistics, thanks.
