Since the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, many people on the Internet have been keeping a close eye on the ongoing updates on what’s happening between the two countries.

This includes a fellow young Singaporean who has since won the hearts of local netizens after her viewpoint on the Russian-Ukraine war has been shared online.

Student Asked To Share Views During Online Class

The teacher who shared the TikTok was conducting an online English ‘O’ Levels class (thank you, COVID-19) when he asked one of the students about her views about the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Initially, the student appeared uncomfortable to have been the one ‘arrowed’ to answer the question but she went on to provide an answer that showed that youths in Singapore were not apathetic at all.

(By the way, the following video that the teacher posted of her student was uploaded only after getting her consent.)

Expresses That She Feels ‘Disappointed’ About the Situation

The student had said that she felt disappointed that what (they) were learning about in school during history lessons was happening once more in real life and that they are living through it.

“And I’m definitely feeling very terrified for the people in Ukraine right now,” the young student continued.

“But politically, I don’t really have an opinion because I feel there are faults on either side and I feel that for this type of crisis, there are definitely nuances to it and it’s difficult to put blame only on one side.”

Netizens Reaction to Student’s Perspective

Tiktok users have since commented on how delightful they felt to hear about the student’s response to the question.

“I’m glad we have people who can think in the younger generation. Thumbs up. We need more of such valued people,” said one user.

“All these insights through TikTok etc..? I’m genuinely impressed. You must be really proud of her too ????,” said another user as a nod of acknowledgment to how the teacher must have felt as he heard the student’s response.

One thing’s for sure, this kid is going to places in the future.
