Fake Himalaya Salt Candies

Yes, people actually make “mao pai” versions of candy nowadays like how you have those fake Gucci and Supreme t-shirts at Bugis Street.

It is not advisable to consume them as the imitation goods do not go through quality control and the ingredients used might not have been verified safe for consumption.

The candy might be marketed as “throat soothing” but it is not advisable to consume it like how you would take lozenges. In fact, it can lead to an increased intake in salt, where higher sodium levels can cause a variety of health problems for you.
